Founded in 1973 as an elevator engineering consulting firm, Newmont Elevator Consultants has evolved into a multi-disciplined organization providing vertical and linear transportation engineering, architectural planning and management services to real estate owners, managers, architects and engineering firms throughout the United States.

Our work begins with the building project concept and continues through schematic design, working drawings and specifications, bidding, contract, construction, acceptance, maintenance and modernization. Our services are in a word "holistic".

NEWMONT, since its origin, has provided guidance to the real estate and elevator industries in their respective efforts to optimize transportation system quality and performance and assure product and service value. SERVICES

Maintenance

NEWMONT'S services in the operation and management of your vertical transportation systems provide ongoing protection of your asset. Preparation of maintenence contract documents and assistence in negotiation of maintenence contracts will provide the best service at the least long term cost.

Periodic maintenance and operation evaluation services will assure that the maintenance contractor is meeting his obligation and that your systems' continue to meet the traffic demands of your building's tenants. A continuing program of this type will assure optimum system performance and maximum longevity of your transportation systems.

Modernization

Continuity of excellence is provided through NEWMONT'S modernization services. Proper planning, minimizes down time, maximizes reuse of existing components and provides appropriate incorporation of state-of-the-art product. Our modernization services result in improved system efficiencies, increased reliability, safety and comfort and do so in such a way as to minimize tenant frustration, reduce operating cost and maintain your building's continuous competive posture in the market place.

Elevator Inspections

A licensed QEI, Qualified Elevator Inspector, will be provided to inspect and witness Annual, Five Year Full Load, Cat 3, and Final Acceptance Testing. We provide licensed Elevator Inspections for most regions of the United States and Puerto Rico who operate in conjunction with state and local governments.

NEWMONT'S involvement in the conceptual through Contractual Design Phases of your project does far more than simply provide good elevator service.

The ultimate success of any building is based on the fine line between the building's efficiency (core vs. net rentable area) and the quality of services provided.

Our services will provide a proper balance between minimum core area and optimum vertical transportation systems.

Guidance in traffic flow from project entry to office floor arrival (building access, egress, signage, distribution), structural, architectural, H.V.A.C., communication, life saftey, security and other interfacing disiplines is also provided by NEWMONT in an effort to ensure a fully integrated building transportation system. Specifications,  which incorporate state-of-the-art products, tailored to serve your project's needs, assistance in selection of qualified contractors and guidance during the bid and contract process will asure that the selected product meets the design criteria and is provided at the least overall cost.

Our Approval through Final Acceptance Phase Services will assure that the final product is complete, meets contractual requirements and is tailored to meet the building's specific needs.

New Development
Due Diligence

Conducting elevator and escalator due diligence evaluations lead to significant cost savings when purchasing, or selling a building with elevators or escalators.

When selling or buying a building, conducting a due diligence audit of the vertical transportation systems will verify the condition of the equipment from a safety, reliability, and performance perspective.

When selling a building, an audit can uncover elevator deficiencies that need to be addressed by the elevator maintenance contractor. All noted deficiencies will then be rectified in a timely manner to meet the time frame of the property.

When purchasing a building, relying on our audit and not relying on the building data, or personnel has proven to save our clients millions of dollars. We are industry experts who can determine the condition of the equipment, code requirements needed, and deferred maintenance. We review all of the elevator data for a building to make certain the buyer knows all the needs of the elevators in order to negotiate the best price possible for a property.
